Clay is where I bury my secrets.

As a transcontinental transplant with roots in India, Ireland, Mexico, and New York City, my work challenges the arbitrary borders—cultural, political, and ecological—that attempt to confine us. A life of code-switching and cultural paradoxes has made sociopolitical labels feel limiting to me, so I use sculpture to test the permeable edges of so-called identity. Clay—ancient, fluid, unpredictable, and capable of holding multitudes—offers me infinite alchemic possibilities to reject the imposed boundaries of human systems.
