Clay is where I bury my secrets.

As a transcontinental artist with roots across India, Ireland, Mexico, and NYC, I have navigated a life of code-switching and cultural paradox. After a long interdisciplinary career, I recently found my way back to a long-cherished material, clay. This ancient and elemental medium—grounding yet unpredictable, delicate yet infinitely malleable— offers me a way reject the narrow definitions and confines imposed by societal systems. My ceramic practice is a means to test the permeable edges of so-called identity, where texture often serves as the tactile embodiment of dissent, and form becomes the evidence of persistence.
